Instagram Threads, as it stands, is a great product. However, I foresee it being diminished by the eventual need for profitability.

Right now, everything possible is being done to please the users—which is great!—but it’s not sustainable. Ads will be introduced and the influx of new features will slow.

I browse and occasionally comment on Threads, but I don’t post there. For some reason, I prefer posting to what is essentially the void.
